The Three Worlds
Abode of all the souls and Supreme-Soul is the Soul World, called as Paramdham or Nirvandham. Below this there exist the subtle regions consisting three zones. It has been depicted that three divine entities, the “trimurti”, reside there. The first is called “Brahmapuri”, where the angelic Brahma stays for the work of creation. Angelic Brahma is the soul of Brahma in its perfect stage yet still retaining the subtle light form of the physical body. The next zone is “Vishnupuri”, where the soul can have the experience of its future perfect part in the golden-aged world. The third zone is “Shankarpuri” where the soul can enter into such a powerful and detached stage of meditation that its rays reach back to the physical plane, adding fuel to the flames of destruction of all that is old and impure. Corporeal world lies below the Subtle region. So there are a total of three worlds. As Shiva, the Supreme Soul, is the father of all the three worlds He is called - ’Trilokinath’.
